Interning has become almost a rite of passage for anyone wanting to forge a career in the creative industry, but to be a really valuable experience for all the people involved along the journey, it needs to be a fully immersive experience.
We created our Design internship programme not just to nurture a new generation of talent, but also to learn from them. For our interns, it’s an opportunity to soak up knowledge from people who’ve been influencing digital design for many years, work in a collaborative culture and get an insight into the everyday machinations of a creative business. For us, it’s a vital part of staying in touch with the ever-changing digital world and see it through new, fresh eyes. Everyone’s a winner.
During the full-time, six-month internship, based in our Stockholm office, our three Design interns, David, Tom and Hahyun, will kick off the programme with an onboarding day. They’ll work on a team activity together and meet their individual mentors, who they’ll catch up with weekly, and who will give feedback one-to-ones and set their goals. Once a month, the interns also have their own get-together, each hosting a workshop covering a different theme.
For us, it’s also just as important that they get into the spirit of our company culture, as well as the project challenges, and feel a part of the Screen Interaction family. Because who knows, like many of our previous interns, they may just find themselves coming back to work with us again in the future!
