At Daresay, we’re passionate about building accessible and inclusive experiences. We’re now excited to introduce our latest addition to our toolbox – The Daresay Accessibility Guide – a hands-on tool designed to support designers and developers on their journey towards achieving digital accessibility. Our goal is to empower ourselves and others to successfully deliver accessible services, and together help to break down barriers and empower individuals of all abilities to fully engage with digital services.
Accessibility is not merely a legal requirement; it is a fundamental right that ensures equal access to information, services, and opportunities for everyone. It’s really quite simple; When digital services are inaccessible, individuals with disabilities face exclusion, hindering their ability to participate fully in society. By embracing accessibility on the other hand, we build a more empathetic and inclusive digital landscape.
The Accessibility Guide offers a comprehensive introduction to digital accessibility as well as specific guidelines. It guides you to useful online sources and simulators. Our team of accessibility experts created this tool for us to use, and now we want to share it with everyone else on the same mission to make non-accessible services a part of the past.
“Not only do we see growing expectations from the public in terms of accessibility as something brands must live up to. The EU Accessibility Act states that both governmental services and a wide range of businesses must comply to strict regulations by 2025. This is affecting many digital actors and paves the way for a more inclusive digital landscape. Our Accessibility Guidelines will help teams and businesses to get there.” – Sofia Hoff, Design Director at Daresay by Knightec
