We are delighted to announce that for the third consecutive year, we were among the winners of the international design competition, the Red Dot Award! This time we won in two categories, “Apps” and “Interface & User Experience Design”, for our collaboration with Clas Ohlson and their new service Clas Fix it.
This brings our haul of international awards to three this year after we were awarded the IF Design Award in February.
“It’s been amazing to be part of this journey,” says Kurt Sillén, Business Director at Daresay. “Clas Ohlson has focused on user experience and user benefits from day one. It’s fantastic to see how well the service has been received by customers. Getting these awards on top of that really proves the value of focusing on customer experience.”
The Red Dot Awards, which are organised by Design-Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, has three main categories: product design, brands and communication design, and design concept. Last year, Daresay and Clas Ohlson also won two awards at the gala for Clas Ohlson Home — a platform for connected homes that also won the Red Dot Award’s Swedish equivalent (the Swedish Design Award).
Almost 9,000 applications were submitted to the brands and communication design category this year, and the winners were selected by an international jury consisting of twenty-five experts. All awards will be presented at a gala in Berlin on November 1st.
“Usability and customer experience were key words when we developed the app together with Daresay,” says Fredrik Uhrbom, Clas Ohlson Sweden Country Manager. “Our new Clas Fixare service offers different services for home fixing, for example help with mounting, plumbing or electricity. The Service, which makes everyday life a little easier for our customers, has had a very good reception and of course the simplicity of the app also contributes to this.”
