Daresay has triumphed again in the Red Dot Awards, winning two awards for recent work with leading international consumer product retailer Clas Ohlson.
For the second year in a row, we’ve been named as one of the winners of the Red Dot Award – a prestigious international design competition dating back to the 1950’s. Last year, our work with Länsförsäkringar was named best banking app, and this time around we’ve received two awards in the Communications Design discipline for our work with Clas Ohlson.
The international jury of experts evaluated more than 8,600 international communication design works, and the Clas Ohlson Home app and the new Smart Plug won in the categories “Apps/tools” and “Smart Home Solutions”.
“Part of the success can be put down to the fact that we had a common goal of making people’s everyday lives easier. In order to create the greatest value for the user,we chose to scale down the features rather than add new ones. Daresay’s working methods and experience have been invaluable to us, throughout the entire journey.”

“Being recognised for our relentless focus on creating amazing customer experiences, with such a prestigious award as the Red Dot makes us all very proud and happy,”, says Kurt Sillén, Business Director at Daresay. “Clas Ohlson is one of the biggest and most beloved companies in Sweden with over two hundred stores in five countries, and together we beat some of the world’s most recognised and trusted brands.”
Other winners in this year’s competition include the likes of IBM, Puma and global premium car brand Porsche.
“This is international recognition for both Clas Ohlson and Daresay. It has been fun working so close to the Clas Ohlson team as we both have a strong will to make the smart home easy and accessible for everybody,” concludes Sillén,
